What is the cost of moving overseas?
The cost of your overseas move depends on the size of your move, where you are shipping to and the method of shipping you choose. If you have a full house load you may need an entire container for yourself. These come in a range of sizes with the most common being 20ft and 40ft containers. With this option you will usually have more flexibility with the shipping and arrival dates to your destination country.
If you have just a few items or a smaller house lot, you can often share a container with other customers. This means you all share in the cost of shipping the container to your destination which is an extremely cost-effective way of shipping your goods. You have less flexibility over delivery dates and often may have to wait some time until the container is full.
If you are wanting to have your goods shipped urgently the best option is air freight. This is a much more expensive option and the price is based on the actual weight of your goods or the volume weight (whichever is greatest). You need to weigh up the additional costs involved with this option with the benefit of convenience and speed of delivery.
